Time to Pop Open the Champagne

This will be a brief blog post, but I wanted to let everyone know that the news from the MRI, that I luckily had later in the day on Monday, was good.  The lesions have shrunk in size and are much less numerous.  They are not producing anymore enema so I have no more brain swelling.  The lesions are no longer cancerous and my doctor says they will turn to scars like the lesions in my bone.  I am exhausted, relieved, and ready to celebrate.  I will write more tomorrow, but I wanted to let everyone know.  THANK YOU TEAM ELI!!!

Hello Eli! I’m not sure if you remember me, but this is Shannon Kirby from the study abroad program in Salamanca. I found your blog through Amanda Regnier (another Salamanca alumna). I just wanted to let you know that I’m thinking of you and sending lots of good vibes your way in your fight against cancer, and I’m happy to see your test results came back so positive!
P.S. Brodie and I have been together ever since Spain. Can you believe it!? We live in Colombia now. If you ever come out this way, let us know; we can have a little reunion! 🙂
